Are mangoes good for your skin?
Due to its high content of vitamin C, polyphenols and beta-carotene as provitamin A, the tropical fruit promotes your skin health and should be a regular part of your diet.

Vitamin C has an antioxidant effect, fights skin aging and stimulates the production of collagen, which is responsible for smooth and supple skin.
As vitamin A, beta-carotene protects the skin from cell damage caused by external influences such as environmental toxins and UV rays. Vitamin A regulates the activity of the sebaceous glands, counteracts oily as well as dry and flaky skin and supports cell proliferation, wound healing and skin renewal.
Like all fruits and vegetables, mangoes have an alkaline effect. Compared to other fruits, they are especially rich in the minerals potassium, magnesium, phosphorus, sulfur and calcium. Potassium in particular has a regulating effect and is a natural component of the skin that helps maintain moisture balance.
The mango is not a histamine-free fruit, but is still usually very well tolerated by those with histamine intolerance. However, if you have fructose intolerance, you should avoid mangoes.
